Clean Share Link is committed to providing a safe, transparent experience that respects your privacy. The tool removes tracking parameters from any link or text containing links with completely local processing — your links never leave your device. It is built on the belief that data control belongs to users.

1. Privacy Policy

1.1. Security Principles

100% local processing: All link cleaning is performed directly in your browser. No link or text is ever sent to any server. Whether you are cleaning a single link or a whole message containing several, everything stays on your device.
No autosave or persistence: The tool does not save any link or text you paste — not even temporarily on your device. Everything exists only in your browser tab's memory while the page is open. Reloading the page, closing the tab, or navigating away will erase it immediately, so copy or use your cleaned result before leaving the page.
Your links stay private: The links and text you paste into Clean Share Link are never visible to us. We cannot see, access, or store anything you type or paste — including any tracking identifiers, tokens, or personal information that may have been embedded in a link before you cleaned it.
No account needed: Nothing to sign up for, so there's no personal data tied to your identity — ever.
No AI processing: Clean Share Link does not use AI or machine learning. Your links and text are never analyzed, sent to, or processed by any AI model.
Works completely offline: After the first load, the tool works without any internet connection, eliminating all risk of data transmission.
No tracking or ads: The tool does not log content, does not use advertising cookies, does not track user behavior, and does not display advertisements.
Secure connection: The website operates on HTTPS to prevent unauthorized access and protect your connection.
Verifiable, not just promised: Because the tool runs entirely as static files in your browser, you can open DevTools → Network tab to confirm no request fires from your links or text (the only network activity is the anonymous traffic analytics described in Section 1.2, which never includes anything you type or paste), or inspect the deployed source code — minified for performance, not obfuscated — to confirm it contains no network-request code. This transparency lets you verify our privacy claims yourself — it does not grant any right to copy, redistribute, or reuse the code; see Section 2.3 for our Intellectual Property Rights.
Bookmarklet privacy: The desktop bookmarklet passes the current page's link using a #url= fragment rather than a ?url= query parameter — a query parameter would be included in the request sent to the server and often ends up in server logs, while fragment data is never transmitted anywhere.
Share Target privacy: On Android, after installing Clean Share Link to your Home Screen, you can share a link or text into it from other apps. This content is captured by the Service Worker running on your device and held briefly in your browser's local IndexedDB storage — never sent to any server. The next time you open the app, it is automatically loaded into the input field and immediately deleted from storage. If the app isn't opened within 10 minutes of sharing, the pending content is automatically discarded.

1.2. Data Collection

Some aggregate, anonymous statistics (such as browser type, screen resolution, and access region) may be recorded through Cloudflare Web Analytics to evaluate traffic and optimize performance.
These statistics are completely anonymous, do not use tracking cookies, and are not used for advertising or personal tracking purposes.
Important: We collect no information about the links or text you process, including the destination, parameters, or content of any link pasted or shared into the tool.

1.3. Cookies and Local Storage

The tool only saves display preferences (light or dark theme) in your browser's local storage to maintain your experience between sessions.
No cookies or other data are used for tracking purposes.
You can clear these preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

2. Terms of Use

2.1. Purpose

The tool is provided free of charge for personal, educational, and professional use.
It is designed for removing tracking parameters from links — such as UTM tags, click identifiers, and referral codes — found in any text. It does not verify the safety, legitimacy, or final destination of any link processed.
Not a safety or security check: A cleaned link — including any link found within a larger block of cleaned text — is not a verified-safe link. Clean Share Link does not scan for malware, phishing, scams, or other security threats. Users must independently verify that a link is safe before clicking, sharing, or relying on it, and must not treat the act of "cleaning" a link or a piece of text as confirmation of its safety.
It is designed for processing text and link content only. It does not process image files.
Users are responsible for ensuring their links and content comply with applicable laws and social norms.

2.2. Limitation of Liability

The tool is provided "as-is". All automated processing results are for technical assistance only and do not guarantee absolute accuracy for every link format or platform.
To work effectively against unknown or newly created tracking parameters, the tool removes query parameters by default rather than only recognizing a fixed list. For links outside our supported list, this may occasionally remove a parameter that a specific link actually needs to function as intended. Users should verify that a cleaned link still works as expected before relying on it for important purposes.
The author is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as a link losing intended functionality, data loss, or content discrepancies) arising from the use or inability to use this tool. This includes the loss of any unsaved link or text if the page is reloaded, closed, or navigated away from, since the tool does not store input persistently.
The author is not responsible for any loss, fraud, or harm — to the user or to any third party — resulting from a cleaned link or piece of text being treated as safe, verified, or trustworthy. This includes phishing, scams, malware, or other malicious content reached through any link processed by this tool, whether submitted alone or as part of a larger block of text.
Users should review the output before using it for official or professional purposes to ensure accuracy and suitability.

2.3. Intellectual Property Rights

The source code, design, and content of Clean Share Link are owned by Lâm Thái Sơn and protected by copyright law.
May not be copied, distributed, or modified without written permission from the author.
Clean Share Link uses the Merriweather font, which is licensed under the SIL Open Font License. This font was created by Eben Sorkin and is not part of Clean Share Link's copyright.

3. Updates and Changes

This policy may be updated over time to accommodate technical changes or new legal requirements.
When changes occur, new content will be updated directly on this page.
Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

4. User Responsibilities

Do not use the tool to process, distribute, or store links or content that violate laws, copyrights, or others' privacy.
While the tool processes all content locally and privately, users are responsible for the links and content they choose to process, where they share the cleaned result, and how they use the output.
The author reserves the right to suspend or restrict access if misuse is detected.
